Jeff Askew is an in-demand session and live guitarist who performs and records with some of today’s top Christian and secular recording artists throughout the United States and around the world. In addition to his high-profile performance schedule, Jeff has been very active in the field of music education since 1995. In 2003, he joined the faculty of Biola University where he currently serves in the Conservatory of Music as an Adjunct Faculty guitar instructor and as the Manager of the Music in Worship Department.

Jeff holds Bachelorʼs of Music degrees in Music Performance and Music Education and a Master’s of Music degree in Studio/ Jazz Guitar Performance from the prestigious Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California (USC). While at USC, Jeff had the opportunity to study with Joe Diorio, Frank Potenza, Scott Tennant, Pat Kelley, Steve Trovato, Richard Smith, Shelly Berg, and Carl Verheyen.

Jeff is also extremely involved with church ministry. From 1998 to 2007, Jeff served as a guitarist at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California and occasionally still performs on the “Hour of Power.” He is currently the Instrumental Music Director at a progressive contemporary church in Orange County, California. He and his wife, Heidi, and their daughter reside in the Los Angeles area.
